Some of us might struggle to afford a few hundred cedis to take our kids to school. At the same time, other parents also have thousands of dollars to spend on their offspring or children to obtain quality education through some of the most expensive schools in Ghana.
The selected schools mentioned in the list below offer mainly the British and American curriculum, and tuition fees range from $1,500 to $28,800 per semester or school year.
1. Galaxy International School.
Galaxy International School teaches its students using the British curriculum. The school has three units: nursery, primary, and secondary. Furthermore, an individual student pays about GH¢ 26,000 in tuition fees.
2. Lincoln Community School.
Lincoln Community School is one of the best Ghana-American International Schools. It was built in 1968 and is located at Abelemkpe in Accra. Based on our research, learners of this entity pay from $15,084 to $26,276 per year and use the American curriculum.
3. American International School.
American International School is situated in East Legon, Accra, and they work with the American curriculum. School fees range up to approximately GH¢40,000.
4. Liberty American School.
Liberty American School is one of Ghana's best and most expensive schools. It is a day and boarding American Christian school at Abelemkpe on Dadeibaa Street. Tuition is provided for nursery, primary, and secondary classes. Scholars at this school pay fees up to GH¢30,000.
5. Roman Ridge School.
Research shows this school is one of Ghana's most costly and fee-charging schools. GH¢6,000 is the amount for tuition fees. It offers tuition from nursery to secondary grade.
6. Soul Clinic International School.
Soul Clinic International School is a private mission school enrolling students from kindergarten through secondary (Form 5), ages 4 to 16. According to research, primary pupils pay GH¢2,271 as school fees, while junior high learners must pay GH¢2,595.

Al-Rayaan is an expensive school located on Spintex Road. It has a Diverse Community of Learners committed to Encouraging, Enriching, and Transforming kids for a Better World. The school utilizes the Islamic, British, and Cambridge curriculums and charges fees of GH¢15,000.
9. Galaxy International School.
Galaxy International School is an Accra-based pre-school, Primary, Secondary (WASSCE and Cambridge curriculums), and A-level school. It follows the British curriculum and assists pupils from nursery to secondary school. It charges about GH¢26,000.
10. Ecole Francaise.
Ecole Francaise d'Accra is a Private School for ages 3 - 18, located at East Legon in Accra. They offer nursery to secondary school education, operate on a French curriculum, and charge school fees of about GH¢30,000.
